Stick to What I Know

In the realization that my trip to Europe is only 33 days away (!!!!), I’ve been doing an extreme amount of shopping to get more prepared. I’ve been needing to go shopping anyhow for summer clothes, and that just gave me the extra motivation to get off my butt and go.

There’s this secondhand store called Plato’s Closet and they only take name brand clothes that basically look brand new, all for a reasonable price. I was going to go with Becky, but she wanted to go with her sister and me and my mother wanted to go to the mall afterwards, so we planned to meet up there.

My mom and I got there earlier than they did, and I was pretty disappointed. I had been to one before, but a different store. I tried on a couple things but didn’t like them, so we moved on to the mall… just as Becky and her sister were getting there. xD

We hit a few more stores at the mall too, but again didn’t really find anything I liked. That’s one thing about clothes shopping that I don’t like, if I don’t find anything after a while I just get discouraged. I’ve been needing some new tennis shoes as well, but once again I didn’t find anything that I liked. So, we went to the store that we always go to, and always find something at: Kohl’s.

I think if it weren’t for Kohl’s, I would just walk around looking like a hobo, because they always have really cute clothes, for fairly decent prices (though my mom always gets amazing deals because she is part of their club or something… haha). In less than half an hour, we were in and out with some cute new clothes that I can’t wait to wear in France and Italy. 8)

I’ve never gotten a tube top before (featured in the first picture) but I really liked this one, and it’s pretty modest, so I got it. ^^

I guess the moral of the story is to stick to what you know. It could’ve save me a ton of time.

  1. Wow, you must be so excited! I hope you have an awesome time in Europe; I wish I could go! One of my life goals is to save up and travel the world one day.

We have a Plato’s Closet here too, and I had almost the exact same experience. I think it’s a really good idea, but when I tried things on, nothing fit right and I walked out pretty disappointed.

Woah, those are so cute! I’ve never been to Kohl’s before; I really want to go check it out now! :D

Just letting you know: Angelic Calamity is back and off of hiatus, so I’ll be blogging regularly again. :)

  2. AWESOME new layout. ^^ I hope I’ll be staying for a long long time. :3 Thanks, I’m gonna need the luck! XD

Those look really good. :D But I’m not that into these kind of thing. XP Oh Europe! I’ve never been there before. Okay, I’ve never been to lots of countries before. :P It sounds so fun and exciting. ^^ The shop sounds cool, I wanna check it out sometime. :DD

  3. Wow! Europe! I wish I could go on a trip as well. Too bad I’m pretty occupied with my internship, so I don’t really have time to go on a vacation.

Enjoy your trip and nice outfits, btw. :)

  4. Those clothes are quite cute! Glad that your shopping trip was successful in the end.

Personally, I think it’s nice to have a number of stores that you know are reliable. But if time permits, it’s also nice to explore on the hopes that something new has good stuff.
