Words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup…

I’ve been kind of slacking with my blogging this year so far, huh? It’s not that I lack the desire or motivation to, I just keep finding myself lacking things to say.

I also keep finding myself buying books. It’s like a disease and completely compulsory. I signed up for Barnes and Noble’s free two month membership and it comes with free shipping. I’m just going to blame it on free shipping and bargain books. At first it was just buying books to this series I’ve been reading (Ranger’s Apprentice, sounds lame but is completely awesome and maybe meant for little kids but it’s still awesome) but then they started having bargain books (I mean really, can YOU resist buying a hardcover $3 book??). So I’ve been buying quite a bit of books, so much that I’m running out of room on my bookshelf. Which means that I really need to start reorganizing my room, but that’s a ton of work and I’ll just push that off for another time…

On the subject of books, I just completed The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. I’ve quite a few friends who are major fans of his, and I suppose I could consider myself one too, but this book was a total bore for me. Normally I love the characters he creates but everything just fell flat–especially what you would consider the “climax” of the book. Not very dramatic or climatic. I was really disappointed. Out of five stars, I would’ve given it three. Though, I did get a signed copy of the book. I hadn’t even realized I had ordered a signed copy until I got it. So the book was lame, but I guess it was worth it for the signature. :P

I don’t think I mentioned this before, but I’m taking a web design class. It’s actually Web Design 2; I took the first class during my junior year. Turns out I’m the only girl. I think it’s kind of funny really, and I actually kind of like it. Only because I’m doing better than most of the guys in there. I think the majority of this is because I’m pretty familiar with everything we’re going over. I am definitely no expert (have you seen my layouts–oh wait…) but being familiar with it all makes it so much easier. I keep surprising myself at how much I already know as well. I guess it’s just all perks of running your own website. :)

Running has been going pretty good since the last time I blogged. I found this website (trainer.active.com) that allows you to track and log your runs and other workouts, and I really like it. It’s kind of kept me motivated. I’m really looking forward to some warmer weather though because running on the treadmill gets pretty boring. Some nights, I quit just because I’m bored, not because I’m tired. But, I’m still doing it which is better than what I was doing before: nothing.

I’ve also been writing quite a bit. I’ve almost finished editing my NaNo novel, I’m hoping to completely finish that by the end of February, and I’ve been working on a story that I started a really long time ago, back in 2007. I was just going through my files on my computer and found it. My grammar and writing then was absolutely awful. I mean, did I not know what a run-on sentence was? Anyhow, despite the writing being absolute crap, I really liked the storyline so I’ve been rewriting and it’s been fun. It’s always good to know that you’ve improved in something. :)

  1. Hey hey! Nothing wrong with reading. Now if you can get me to read books, I’ll be a happy camper! I have one book I bought way back in November, and have yet to start reading it. Too much to do on the internet! lol.

Well; the Disneyland trip is still on!!! However, I’m taking a break from school, and will most likely either give it up, later or go back to it when I can. Which I have every option to do so if I fill that form out. The Mac’s are easy to use and get used to it. It was a pain in the butt at first, but I got a hang of it in the end. Now it’s a shame, but I found one of the wordpad’s that they use at school on my computer (grins). Heheehehe. And of course I will take pictures for you!! So watch out for them! 5 days to wait! :D .

I love reading books, and you can’t beat a $3.00 hard back book!!!! That’s incredible! I’ve been wanting to post some of my drawings on my blog. I should blog more often, but I’ve been getting sick a lot too. I’m not sure as to why. But, I may do more drawings/sketches and see where that goes. So for now, I will continue my drawings and see if I can’t improve ya know?

Anyway, love ya girlie!! Glad you’re taking a web design class!!!

  2. I always have that problem with blogging: I have nothing to say. I don’t even know why I blog, since my life is so boring and nothing interesting happens, so I have nothing to say when I want to blog. :|

I looooove buying books. I’m also reading The Fault in Our Stars! I’m about…. halfway done, I think. I meant to read it and finish it the day it came out, but I just ended up starting it a few days ago. :/ I really like John Green’s books, and all I have to say is that so far, The Fault in Our Stars doesn’t seem like a book he wrote. I really like it, but it just doesn’t seem like his usual style, you know?

I think it would be fun to take a web design class at school! My school offers one, but it’s also a photography class as well and I’m not really into taking pictures. Oh well.

Good luck finishing your novel! :)

  3. I’ve been slacking on blogging, too, but I’ve had plenty to say. I’ve just been incredibly busy the last couple weeks. I haven’t really minded, to be honest, but it can get annoying when I don’t have time for non-school-related things night after night. I’m glad I took today to do website things. :)

I personally loved TFiOS. I didn’t think I would like it, but I bought it because I was curious, and I ended up loving it. It’s not my favorite and I’ve read better books, but I definitely enjoyed it. I couldn’t put it down for the two days it took me to read it. :P

I’m glad to hear you’ve been running! I’ve been a lot more dedicated for the past month or so, and I’ve actually noticed a difference in my strength and stamina. I have a love-hate relationship with running, but it’s mostly love. :)

  4. I hate reading, but I will read eBooks. Not sure why this is but I am about to start reading Dracula. Can’t wait :-D :D I haven’t blooked in two weeks so don’t feel bad … :)

  5. I’d love to take a web design class too!! It would be so much fun – to learn new things about something I absolutely love. Sort of. Well. Yes. I mean I hate coding but web design coding (html etc) is fun(ner)!

  6. Buying books is not a disease! It’s a hobby! I definitely cannot resist buying a $3 hardcover book. I always buy the books I want and if there’s a cheap book I buy it without knowing what it’s about. I have far too many books.

Wow your school offers web design! I thought that was more of a college thing. It’s so weird that most of the people here are girls yet only guys take the class!

I don’t really like treadmills. I prefer running outdoors! But of course that can’t be done now, except for maybe yesterday when it was 60 degrees.

Omg everyone’s writing novels! I really wanna read these! Are you going to publish it digitally or traditionally?

  7. Every time I go to Barnes and Nobles, I head off to the Bargain Books section and buy a bunch of $2 books. Low prices always reel me in.

It’s cool that you’re taking a Web Design class. Maybe this is your chance to shine. XD I’m taking AP Computer Science next year, but I don’t know if there’s a bit of web design involved. There’s lots of program coding though.

  8. I don’t believe you’re slacking with blogging. I mean, if you were, then you wouldn’t be blogging right now :P!

You must be a cool kid just buying books left and right! At least you read them! I haven’t found the time to read a novel yet. I bought Choke last summer and I haven’t finished it yet :/. I haven’t even started! You’re someone who enjoys ’em and appreciates them at the most :D!

Everyone has different flavors for books. I know I don’t like books that has pathetic characters. Like the characters that never develops or something D:! But at least you got a signed copy of the book ;D!

Good luck with the web design class :D! Hopefully, you’ll find something new in the class. It’s the same with us, with the cyber defense team. There’s like 7 guys and 2 girls. D:! But the other girl is like a tomboy so it doesn’t count D:.

Good luck with your workouts! Just keep on tryin’ ;D! The goal of NaNo was to write a novel with over 50k words. It’s not like the first draft is going to be perfect. Just like Twilight, it’d be like 672% more horrible if it was a first draft publish. XD

I used to analyize dreams a lot. But then it turned me crazy. . And insane :c.

Some people in the band was doing the P90x workout yesterday after practice. It’s a lot of stretching and.. Just wow o__o. I wouldn’t do it.. In public at least.

    Take care ;D!
