I’m Sorta Kinda Almost Back

Hey there guys! Ah, I’ve missed talking to you all dearly. :(

I’m here to say that I am almost sorta kinda back. School is still absolutely terrible with mounds of homework every night, but I’m hoping after this semester things will slow down. I’m not taking quite as many honors courses next semester, so hopefully my homework load will decrease.

Tennis is over, as I’ve said before, but with new troubles in itself. I seem to have hurt my foot somehow. During the season, the top of my foot hurt, but I figured I had merely bruised it from my tennis shoes and just ignored it. But now, almost two months later, it still hurts and the pain is getting worse. It’s bearable when I’m walking barefoot, but when I have to wear shoes, it’s much much worse. :/

My mom called the doctor, but he didn’t seem concerned. He told me to take pain medication and to wear flip flops. Uhm, does he not realize it’s November, as in it’s like 40 degrees outside? Kind of hard to wear flip flops… Andrew went to his doctor the other day for a check up and asked him his opinion on my foot. His doctor said if it’s been hurting that much, it needs to be looked at. So, I’m going to call my doctor again on Monday and hopefully get something done.

On a more positive note: it’s November! I hope you know what that means: National Novel Writing Month. Every November, I like to participate in NaNoWriMo, but it in itself is a difficult feat to accomplish. Writing a 50,000 word novel is ridiculous. In the three years I’ve participated, I’ve never finished (yes, yes, the shame. Someone throw a tomato at me). But this year, as always, I’m going to try again. If I don’t finish, oh well. My main goal is to just have fun with it and enjoy it. Perhaps make some new friends. And hopefully become a slightly better writer. :)

I’ve been working like crazy on it this week. I want to get ahead because I know come the middle of the month, I’ll get stuck and most likely fall behind. So I’m trying to get ahead while I can. It feels good to write again. Not just fictional nonsense either; I mean on here, too.

Anyone else doing NaNo? Wanna be my writing buddy? *puppy eyes* :)

So, I guess I’m here to say that I’ll be trying to post kind of consistently. Key word: trying. Recently, blogging has seemed like such a daunting task, as weird as that is. Hopefully I can overcome that soon and get back into the groove of things. 8)

  1. Thanks. c: I am not sure when they will tell us whether we are in or not..8c I went there for another test on Friday but they didn’t say a word about it so yeah, maybe they’ll tell us on orientation day? That’s in December though. XD

Welcome back! I hope school gets better for you. <3 Right now we are getting homework every week because the teachers want to prepare us for high school, it's really annoying homework(stupidddd) but quite easy. c:

Gah! That sounds bad. D: The doctor shouldn't be so careless about it. : Well I hope your foot gets better soon! <3 Lol just then I misunderstood thing about November..XD I thought it would be a good idea to wear flip-flops because HERE it is 40 degrees outside LOL. XD

Lol I joined the junior NaNoWriMo..But I can't be bothered writing stuff right now because I just wrote this thingo and stuff. :P I gave it to my friend and since she said she wants to become an illustrator when she's older she is going to illustrate to it. 8D And I have no idea how long that story is..I can't really tell lol. But yeah i can't be bothered doing it. XD

Hope you reach your goal in NaNoWriMo! c:

  2. I’m sorry you’ve hurt your foot D: But I guess it’s good that tennis season is over? Ahah! That would suck if you hurt it and couldn’t play! Wow, your doctor sounds like such a big help… taking pain meds and wearing more comfortable shoes is something you could have thought of on your own! XD I hope the next appointment goes better!

I’ve always loved writing, but I’ve never been particularly interested in NaNoWriMo. I’m not sure why :/ Good luck with yours!

  3. I’m so glad you’re back! I hope you’ll have a lighter homework load some time soon, so you won’t have to struggle so much to find time to write!

I hope your foot will be okay soon! Let’s hope the doctor has more helpful advice this time.

I’ve never been too good of a fiction writer, so I don’t think I’ll be participating. It sounds like fun though, and I hope you get to finish this year!

  4. You should definitely have that foot checked out by a doctor! Nothing should hurt that bad for so long =(

I’m buried in schoolwork, too, but it’s kinda my own fault. I seriously slacked off for like two weeks and have been trying to catch up ever since D:<

Good luck with the NaNoWriMo! Sounds like a tough challenge, you definitely don't deserve tomatoes being thrown at you for not finishing :)

  5. Hello, Becca! Welcome back from that… Absense that you had :O! I wondered in my mind where you went, but heck- patience is a virtue. XD! I hope everything at school isn’t too hectic for you! :(!

These days, I’ve been hearing about doctors saying “There’s nothing wrong with __”- and it’s annoying :(! Like what they said, when your doctor says there’s nothing wrong, go to another doctor and get yourself checked out again– by someone else.

I hope there’s nothing seriously wrong with your foot :(! My foot’s been having some ankle issues but mehh. It’ll survive. But it sounds like your foot doesn’t like having pressured applied to it!

As long as you enjoying what you do for NaNoWriMo, it shouldn’t be a big deal not finishing it. I mean, if you finished NaNoWriMo the first time, you’ll have less of a determiniation to complete it the next time :O! But still :P. I can’t do NaNoWriMo- I’m too busy for that and I am definitely not prepared.

Congratulations to your football team for beating your rival :D! Your game sounds much more delightful than ours XD!

    Take care(:

  6. Everyone has missed you as well! I’m glad you’re back!! :)

Agh, doctors suck sometimes. I once had a doctor tell me there was nothing wrong with my knee when I actually tore my meniscus. Pffffffft. I hope your foot gets better though. It was ridiculous of your doctor to tell you to wear flip flops in the cold like that! What. was. he. thinking?

Good luck on NaNoWriMo! I have faith in you! You can do it this year! :) :) I’ve never attempted it before…. maybe next year.

    Take care! :)

  7. Welcome baaaack!!!!! I was so happy to see your blog comment. I was looking at my affiliate list the other day saying to myself all but 1 of my affiliates are on some type of hiatus or re-vamp. But I wouldn’t trade for any of them. :D

I hope your foot feels better soon!

I heard of NaNoWriMo this summer. I tried to tell my sister about it but she doesn’t seem very interested. I used to be a budding novelist but I write more for myself now. I like to think of them as starters if I ever become a real novelist. :)
